How To Play Bingo

Bingo is a random game of chance that is usually played in a Bingo Hall or in a casino. You can also find games that are played for charity in church halls and community centers. Most casinos online also offer bingo as part of their gaming options. In New Zealand, Australia, and Britain, a very similar game called housie is played, which differs just a little in ticket layout and calling.

In a game of Bingo, randomly selected numbers are drawn by a Bingo Caller (virtual or not) and players match those numbers to those appearing on 5x5 cards. The numbers must fall in a pattern on the card that is specified before the game. The fiver columns on the card correspond g to the five letters in the word B-I-N-G-O. Numbers such as B-2 or 0-68 are then drawn at random (out of a possible 75 in American Bingo, and 90 in British and Australian Bingo) until one player completes the corresponding Bingo game pattern. These patterns vary from game to game and can be in a vertical, horizontal or diagonal row or shaped like letters, symbols or animals. There are many possible bingo game patterns played. The first person to have a card where the drawn numbers form a specified pattern is the winner and calls out "Bingo!" Then the game stops and the numbers are verified. If there is a winner, the prize is awarded and a new bingo game begins with new cards. If there is more than one winner, the prize is split among all the winners.

If you are playing in a real casino or bingo hall, players will be handed their cards from thousands of unique (unduplicated) cards to choose from. Some manufacturers of Bingo cards print unduplicated series of 6,000 cards.

When playing in a casino online, bingo cards are selected for you from as many as 50,000 cards. Some bingo software in the UK casinos may arbitrarily select cards for the player. Most bingo online halls allow a maximum of 32 to 50 bingo cards per player. Some bingo online halls automatically assign all players the same numbers of cards to eliminate the player advantage that those who buy more cards boast over their poorer competitors. Some online casinos make it absurdly easy for people to play by having software that automatically fills in the squares on the cards that need to be filled. This buys bored players time to chat with others on a side screen. However usually when you are playing bingo online you point and click on the card matrices, which are set up on the screen before you.

When playing bingo in an online casino gambling keep in mind that numbers are announced very quickly by the Caller, so you must mark them quickly and as accurately on your card(s). Corresponding to the five letters in the word B-I-N-G-O. Prizes vary for each game, but many online casinos offer starting jackpots of $1,000 to $10,000! Progressive jackpots are also becoming more and more common in both real and online casinos.
