Playing Baccarat in an online casino is a piece of cake. Once you know the rules and have a basic strategy, you will be able to have some fun and maybe even make some money in the process. If you are playing single player Baccarat you will be playing against the dealer, so you won't have to worry about anyone else at the table or having to interact with them. As a result, the game starts with the two hands, one for you and one for the dealer. Before each new hand, you will bet whether your hand or the dealers hand is going to be closer to the number nine. If you aren't sure, you could bet there is a tie. In the single player game of Baccarat 8, full decks of cards are used.
You're going to start this game as you would any, with a bet. Most online casinos I have been to will have a set of chips based on denomination at the bottom of the screen. You can left click to add to your wager and right click on the stack to take it away from the wager or you can click on the right mouse button to remove the entire wager. Once you've made your bet you will be ready to play!
The game forms with you receiving two cards and the dealer taking two as well. A third card can be given but it would not be up to you to ask for that card. From here, all cards are subject to what is known as the third card rule. Your hand will never receive more than three cards.
If one of the hands receives a natural, which is an 8 or 9 from the first two cards then no other cards will be given in that hand. However, if one of the hands has a total of below 8 then the player will draw the extra card. If you are confused about the three-card rule check out the rules to better understand the game.

Like you, the dealer also has a three-card rule though their rules are a little bit different than yours are. For a dealer the rules are as follows
- 0-2 means a draw
- 3-6 they can draw or stand
- Seven is an auto-stand
Now it gets a little more complicated. If you drew a third card and the dealer has a:
- 3 he draws unless you had an 8 then he stands
- 4 he draws unless your third card was a 0, 1, 8, or 9
- 5 he draws unless you have something between 4 and 7
- 6 he draws unless you had a 6 or 7 as your third card
The payoffs at a baccarat table are going to be at their best when you reach a tie with the dealer. Otherwise, the payoffs are 1 to 1 with a small commission if the dealer is the one to win. In most casinos, you can bet a maximum of $2,500.00 on baccarat though you may not want to do this until you become more experienced at this gambling game. |
